What Maintenance Care Is Designed to Support
Whether you’re continuing care after completing the corrective care process or coming in without any previous appointments, maintenance chiropractic care is about supporting your body’s function and wellness over time, not just relieving symptoms when they show up.
The work in this phase is designed to support:
- The way your spine and nervous system handle ongoing stress: work, sleep, family, the way you sit and move
- An honest picture of nervous system function over time, tracked through scans and imaging at regular intervals
- Care that adjusts to what your body is showing, rather than running on a template
- A consistent relationship with practitioners who know your name, your scans, your history, and your goals
The result? A care plan built around what matters to you: activities, routines, and events — as they occur in your daily life.
Why Your Spine Benefits from Regular Input
Your spine isn’t just a structural support. It’s part of the nervous system that runs everything your body does. Life produces stress, and your nervous system absorbs all of it.
When your spine moves well, the signals between your brain and body move well. When it stops moving the way it should, those signals get distorted, and the rest of the body starts compensating.
That’s the thing about dysfunction. You don’t feel it on day one. It builds quietly, like a cavity on a tooth. By the time you feel something, the underlying change has usually been building for a while.
What we observe in maintenance care is that ongoing input matters. Each visit is another chance for your nervous system to adapt. Some visits show new patterns. Some show repetitive, familiar ones. Over time, that ongoing input is what helps your body regularly find better ways to function and adapt.
What This Looks Like Over Time
Maintenance care at Landriault Chiropractic Health Centre isn’t open-ended. It’s structured the same way every other phase of care is structured: with a defined plan, defined milestones, and re-examinations along the way.
At every re-exam, we run the same scans we ran on day one. We walk you through what they show, talk about how you’re feeling, and decide together what comes next.
If your function is holding well, we keep going as we have been. If something’s changed in your life — a new injury, a new stressor, a new goal — we recalibrate. If you want to step back or shift cadence, we have that conversation honestly. The choice about what comes next is always yours.
How Maintenance Fits Into Care at Landriault
Most patients arrive at maintenance care after working through two earlier phases, and that’s the point of those earlier phases. The arc is built so that maintenance is an option you’ve earned, not a sales pitch.
A smaller group of patients come to us specifically for ongoing care from the start, without working through the prior phases. We welcome those patients — they still go through our full new patient exam first, because we don’t adjust without one. From there, the conversation about cadence and goals begins.

Handle Life’s Stressors More Easily
If you’ve completed corrective care and you’re thinking about what comes next, we can have that conversation when you’re ready.
If you’re new to chiropractic and you want to come in for ongoing care from the start, we can have that conversation too. Either way, the work begins with the exam.
